So I’m autistic and the gym is literal hell for me because I don’t like working out around people because I often feel like I don’t know what I’m doing and being judged. I agreed to come with my bf for the first time but now I’m panicking what do I do?

you don’t need to use machines if that scares you, there’s weights and benches you can use. but i promise nobody is looking at you or judging!

Walking on the treadmill is a good place to start. Watch a movie or something and forget about randoms.

I like to take the first time at a new gym to just walk on the treadmill and get used to the layout, since there’s nothing embarrassing about walking on the treadmill and it gives you time to look around. (There’s nothing embarrassing about doing *any* exercise at the gym, but yk what I mean. There’s 0 chance my brain can lie and convince me I’m being embarrassing when I’m literally just walking on the treadmill)
