Having anxiety and being on the spectrum sucks!!! My tism wants to shut out all the unwanted stimulation but my anxiety wants to know absolutely everything that’s going on around me it’s just a permanent uncomfortableness

I remember I had to do so much work in therapy to tone down my hyper-vigilance so that I could use hearing protection and go out into the world without the pain
