i like to ‘go to the bathroom’ (anywhere quiet and alone) for like ten minutes every hour or so. if it gets real bad i fake a migraine and leave

Earplugs, practice facial expressions beforehand if you do need to pretend, and have a cozy solitary activity planned for after so you can get through

I second what #1 said about going to the bathroom, especially if you’re an introvert. Also, I’ve noticed stimming helps me calm down/ makes me feel slightly less nauseous when I get upset (yeah I get nausea and I feel my face flush when I get a surprise gift that I hate, and 90% of surprise gifts I get I DO NOT like)
