My parent and I once got in a screaming match because he told me to vacuum the playroom. I did. He nodded and asked me which vacuum I used. I responded with what was apparently the wrong vacuum and we started screaming because I NEEDED to know what was wrong with the job I did, he started screaming that I NEEDED to do it again with a different vacuum. Both vacuums were good to use on the carpet, my only sin was using the incorrect one.

My father is very against minorities of any and all types, but in this case it’s definitely a pot meet kettle situation. He has a strong sense of smell and days after we have garlic in the house or use scented soap he makes us all feel awful (like god forbid I burn a candle for a few minutes) and then he has the audacity to say that the the “r-slur kids these days” are “getting unfair help” with their therapy and iep’s as if he didn’t literally melt down over the detergent i used last week
