looked into it some more, hope you don’t mind if I conjecture at you a bit: so, apparently the reason for the left arm pain prior to a heart attack is because the left arm and the heart have overlapping spinal nerve pathways (I’m not super educated on this kind of thing but I’ve def heard of similar nerve-related bodily miscommunications). also, I think the existence of takotsubo cardiomyopathy suggests that emotional distress can directly impact the heart in some people?
so wouldn’t it be interesting if you were someone who physically feels sorrow in their heart, but your body registers it in your arm instead due to nerve weirdness? I don’t know anything about the mechanism behind takotsubo cardiomyopathy beyond the “distress -> heart pain” element though, so it’s very possible that I’m floating a completely goofy & unrealistic idea
no that’s rly interesting, thank you. if i were to add anything it might be like, the vagus nerve or smth since thats near the heart and it’s meant to be a big part of your emotional nerves and i feel a lot of stuff there, but idk i could be completely wrong too. but a cool thing though ty for that explanation
