Golf courses piss me off. Why are you wasting water to have a massive plot of land that takes up like a quarter of the city that most people can’t fucking enter anyway?? I can’t walk anywhere in the city because this massive waste of space is in the way

Those are all the least of the concerns. It’s the pesticides and the rampant increase in cancer rates amongst those who live anywhere near them

Not just water waste but the overuse of fertilizers which will always make their way back into our water systems causing issues downstream such as red tide in coastal areas, or overactive algae in fresh water which eventually takes over, blocks out sunlight, and creates dead zones.

That makes me so upset. My great aunt has Parkinson’s. I wonder how to get a class action lawsuit against her local golf club

i would focus on the pesticide companies. but it’s hard to get anyone in the US to care. the greatest predictor of your risk for cancer is actually your zip code. illness and disability is both a race and class issue
