
I don’t like it simply because autism isn’t a monolith, but an umbrella of a bunch of different types of people. One person’s autism (mine) it’s just that I’m slightly awkward, and I HATE making eye contact. Other forms of autism can manifest in severe agoraphobia, a hyper fixation of trains, etc. For some people it very well may be but for others it is just a disability. Referring to any specific neurodivergence as one thing completely misses that every person is different.
