Pittsburgh is so lovely and welcoming and very very whimsical. It can be a bit grungy and some neighborhoods have been neglected, but there hasn’t been a place in that city that doesn’t make me feel like i’m a part of a bigger world with a bigger purpose… like major dreamer type vibe. here’s a pic of my friend overlooking one of the three rivers that cuts through the city. full disclosure tho: it’s a total nightmare for driving at first but they have decent public transit.
I think I’m deciding between Pittsburgh and Denver tbh. I’m from california but I’m not rich at all and I need somewhere where I can work in Geospatial information sciences (GIS), and these were the best cities that were recommended. I like either bc they have the 4 seasons tbh, which I really like. Also I want somewhere to raise a family perhaps
oh you would ADORE Pittsburgh for settling down with a family tbh, there’s just so much to do in that area for all pocketbooks. i grew up driving out there to visit grandma’s family. lately i’ll go to visit with friends for our own little city tour in honor of Mac Miller. his neighborhood of Squirrel Hill is so quaint and gorgeous, but seemingly pretty expensive now though.
