It’s truly hitting me how much I fall into the autistic stereotype of being good at one thing and struggling in all other areas. I’m 25, unemployed, struggle to take basic care of myself, but I’m pretty fuckin good at art and that’s it

It’s even worse when you’re good at one thing but don’t want to turn it into a career because it’d ruin your passion behind it and there’s really not many choices for good paying careers with it anyways (literature)

I may just need antidepressants though we’ll see (currently making efforts to hopefully, eventually, be on antidepressants)

what is your struggle to take basic care like? is it executive dysfunction?

I took a general neurospych evaluation with my autism assessment and apparently my executive functioning’s actually really good. So, I think it might just be depression

Oh shit I was actually hoping to get into publishing illustration, if you’d like I can dm you the link to my portfolio so you can look and see if you’d be interested in having me design a book cover if you need one down the line? (Absolutely no pressure btw, figured I’d ask just in case)

I’m not sure about me even writing a book, but nonetheless, I’d love to see your art anyways 🥰
