This may come off wrong, but I don’t mean it offensively, but are you sure that isn’t just bipolar being bipolar and the meds being unrelated? I ask as somebody with a bipolar mom, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother all living under the same roof for years… (Hell)

ssris are known for activating mania in those with bipolar

im not saying it caused bipolar i am bipolar with or without medication, but ssris can exacerbate it

Sorry not what I meant really, not saying it causes it at all just saying maybe they just really have no relation and maybe other things were going on at the time? I know even for ocd there are times when my usual dose isn’t enough if I’m around certain triggers too long.
