FUCK INSURANCE they just stopped covering all of my psych meds because they aren’t a script for 90 days. No psych provider is going to prescribe a 90 day supply to someone with SI and a history of attempts

I just spent 10 months in different facilities just to find the right meds. And now I’m out and can’t afford them without insurance

Appeal! This is crazy. What if the doctor spoke to them and said he refuses to write a script for 3 months?

You can also have your provider submit an appeal for that.

have u tried kroger? when i didn't have insurance they gave me their discount, my meds were like $80 and they only charged $28

It’s a little complicated bc they’re a provider from the php I’m in. So not my usual psychiatrist. Me and my dad are going to call the insurance company about it

They were all about $20-30 each, which adds up to about $85 bc it’s 4 meds they are doing this with. I got the most important one (antidepressant) and hoping that I do ok without my anxiety or sleep meds

I guess after a certain amount of refills, they want 90 day supplies (bc it’s cheaper). But no psych provider is going to give anyone with a history of SI that many pills. So idk how insurance companies wants to handle that. My dad told me he’d call, but he did not sound optimistic. I see the provider Thursday, so I’m going to ask if they need to do a pre authorization or something
