I went to therapy like normal and talked about everything to my therapist and she helped me get an action plan if I were to need it. I was being asked if I felt like I needed to go or not. Not sure about how your therapist is or anything, and not every scenario is the exact same but she was very willing to work with me! I do know that if you are hospitalized because you’re an active threat to yourself or others, in MN I know it’s a 72 hour minimum hold at a facility(mom is on the local amb).
