Does anyone else ever feel like the overuse of mental health terms and diagnoses has only further increased the stigma around a lot of it and made it harder to be understood/get help?

I think there are sooooo many undiagnosed people the rise in diagnosis is good but the amount of misdiagnosis that there are is a problem. Whether it’s for someone who is genuinely looking for help and got diagnosed wrong, or people self diagnosing very loosely it is harmful

But I think the culture of looking to get diagnosed if someone is curious about if they have something is very healthy. Many people are getting late in life diagnosis that changed the quality of their lives especially women because we are usually diagnosed so much later
