We actually learned in class that people with autism are more likely to get side effects from medication. The article was on autism so idk if it’s also true for other neurodivergencies. Personally, I am very very prone to akathisia and had to be restrained once after being given iv reglan. I’ve also had mild serotonin syndrome but that was expected given I was on 3 different SSRI/SNRIs 😭

Abilify made my head twitch and it lasted for months before it went away ☹️

latuda made me not feel my bottom half of my face and it forced my face into a frown i couldnt control any of it and the akathesia

It’s called children’s mental health but we read a lot of articles about treatment including pharmacological treatment
