This reads more as them being lazy than you missing a cue but also idk, like if no one cleans then how is it not super dirty? Someone’s gotta clean, even if it’s just a light sweep or something

That’s 100% on your coworkers for not clarifying it was more of a code word for “be on the look out for __” instead of “hey actively go look for __”
