It took me 17 mental health medications to find something that helped my ocd. Changing meds is terrible and sometimes dangerous so it’s up to you if you want to continue trying different ones, but if you decide to pls know it’s possible one will finally help. Unfortunately the genetic test #1 mentioned wasn’t helpful for me at all, it told me I should take medicines I had already tried that didn’t help or I couldn’t tolerate 😅
They’ve also put me on different meds for sleep (first one was actually for sleep but made me trip balls, but then my uni psychiatrist started me on one technically for allergies and then one technically for blood pressure. Had bad reactions to both) and honestly the more meds I’m on the worse I feel 🧍 adderall is my only reliable medication despite being problematic (for health) in its own ways
I went to the psychiatrist looking for sleep meds and they said no and tried to fix the issue with antidepressant/anxiety meds, I didn’t want to go on them again to begin with 🥲 honestly I’m fairly certain I have some form of OCD too so idk if we should be trying to help that instead or what. I hated the person I was last time I switched meds and became so miserable, I don’t know that I can keep doing this. The meds I’m currently on gave me tinnitus and idk if I’ll just have to get used to it
