To the adhd women here, has getting an iud effected your mood at all? I’ve heard some accounts of it making meds less effective or causing more anxiety or depression. I’m looking in to getting an IUD but wanna do the research

I recently met with my doctor to talk about birth control and she said based on the research and from what her patients have said iud and nexplanon are unlikely to effect your mood because they use progesterone instead of estrogen. so I currently have nexplanon and it has not impacted my mood (or anxiety and depression) at all! I'm switching to an iud soon and I'm hopeful it'll remain the case for that one too
