It’s the inherent issue of creating the false dichotomy of neurodivergent vs non and why most groups avoided the language and used the authors original intent of neurodiversity. But c’est la vie I suppose

i feel as though ADHD is mistaken for autism and it causes unnecessary stress and anxiety for those who aren’t autistic who believe that they are.

I feel like the other way around is more common. Not saying the autism instead of adhd diagnosis never ever happens but like. An autism diagnosis is kinda hard to obtain.
