OP, you said a thing that was triggering for others, you then became triggered yourself, and in turn triggered even more others (according to your account here) by continuously choosing your words carelessly. I assume meme nazi is based on the old school term grammar nazi, which means someone who corrects internet grammar constantly, also known as language policing. All OP was saying was that 8 was policing their use of a meme. 8 was doing the same thing as 1, which was raising a stink over a MEME instead of moving on. I’m sorry you became collateral in OP’s attempt in keeping her peace.

I think I assumed the comments section was for discourse about the content, but some people experience dissenting comments as disrupting their enjoyment (like someone talking during a movie). When that happens, they respond to me as a disruption rather than engaging with my actual points. I understand now and this will change how I interact on the internet.
