Question for those who know a lot about ASD: Do siblings have an easier time reading their ASD sibling than others? My older sister has ASD and when she starts to get overstimulated it’s so obvious to me, but never to anyone else even our parents…

I have a brother three years younger than me. He points out my body language at different times and knows when to get a reaction out of me.

Is this because I grew up with her and learned her cues from a young age? Is this common among those who have siblings with ASD? I’m honestly just super curious. Thx!

I mean I’m like this with my mom but I think it’s just cuz I was a Velcro kid(lowkey still am)

My sister will try to understand me but will whiteknight my intolerant, emotionally immature mother before anything else in life.
