Isn’t it weird to have a “yes man” therapist. Bro suggested I may be autistic and I explained to him why that kind of hurt my feelings (has been only used in the “derogatory” way for me thus far) and he suddenly goes “oh no! You’re sooo not. I was just -“

“-suggesting! That score of 142 doesn’t matter” And it’s like. He keeps sliding in things like “oh yeah. Overstimulation. Just breathe. Oh yeah? Must be hard to make friends. Who really needs them” and I’m like. Bro I don’t care if I might be autistic, but they way you suggested it was kinda scary 😭

But now he’s on a “if you’re autistic I must be autistic” and has never mentioned it again. Which…. Isn’t what I wanted. I just wanted to explain why that makes me feel “lesser” and work on it. Not….. completely disregard the topic

I assumed people would. I’m sure my phrasing could be better but it is what it is. Like I said, I have no issue with exploring that possibility but also, my therapist needs to learn how to read a room and emphasize things he thinks are important; regardless if I’m a little uncomfortable at first. It’s his job to help me better accept myself and understand new things even when it’s hard.
