If I spent years working on a book, finally had it published, and someone got so irked about it they felt the need to take time out of their day to report a typo, I would be pissed 😭

no i just wanna report it so their book can be more perfect yk. i dont want all their readers seeing that when its an easy fix! a book is bound to have typos which is why i wanna help them lol

I have at various times worked in and alongside various forms of publishing, and typo reports are very welcome! It's just, the majority are pointed out by people dedicated to including the most hateful jabs. Which is most not welcome. (If you think Yikyak is a mean place, you've never had a letter written to you by an upset elderly stranger.)
