Ughhh! I brought a QUITE fidget to class because I struggle with ADHD and it helped me focus, but I got an email from my professor that I was being detracting ( it was thinking putty). She said that if I don’t put that play-doh away she is reporting me!

ignore her and play harder, you don’t care. She isn’t an intelligent human being, nothing will come of her actions. You can solve this if any problems arise easily. A lot of professors think they are actually serving the fountain of youth in their lectures and that anything that doesn’t look like how they pay attention needs correction

Remind her that denying someone with ASD or ADHD a fidget that isn’t loud violates ADA (AKA FEDERAL LAW!!!) as quiet fidgets are a reasonable accommodation.

I’ve brought a griddle to class and made pancakes, some professors are assholes. 😩

If you do not have this accommodation set up with disabilities and it does disturb her or other students she is allowed to ask you don’t use it in her class, try explaining but you might need it on file for her
