My mom took neurodivergent quiz on the Internet and she goes “honey, I think you might be neurodivergent because you do a lot of the things from the quiz” considering I got diagnosed with Audhd when I was 8 I think you might be right😂

Autism is the only ‘label’ my mother didn’t want for me and I do think she influenced my diagnosistic and they were just like “well we’ve put everything else on this girl this one isn’t needed”. Despite being multi-LD, getting on pbs for an at the time experimental interactive metronome therapy (to improve my rhythm which they theorized would improve other things), having adhd diagnosis only in adulthood. Autism is the only one that really impacts me socially and professionally as an adult.

I was extremely high masking so the perception was maybe that it wasn’t “as bad” or was just diagnostically covered by everything else. It was only my teachers that were like “yeah this one needs to be there” & no one listened to them.
