I was 9 or 10 in a day camp. All the other kids were playing with this toy microphone. I waited until they were done to play with it. I started playing with it then the adults yelled at me. I’m a full grown adult now, and I still don’t know what I did wrong 🤷‍♂️

“Your punishment will end when you admit what you did wrong” and “Go back to your room until you can tell the truth” were the worst ones for me. It’s honestly just horrible parenting. Discipline should involve talking to the child about what they did wrong.
