Having obscure hyperfixations is rough. I’m STILL so passionate about a Frankenstein related game that had such amazing concept art and really interesting ideas in the EA release and then was unfortunately really disappointing upon release

Frankenstein itself is a special interest of mine so it makes sense but!!! Rah!!! The game is Thy Creature btw. I still appreciate it but GOD. There’s this early concept art where it’s noted that the Creature and Victor have the same smile and YES. Give me adaptations that understand that they’re way more similar to each other than they’re willing to admit. Also the most interesting Creature and Justine relationship I’ve ever seen in an adaptation???

Like it’s implied Justine was able to flee instead of being executed and eventually encounters the Creature. She’s terrified of him at first but gradually they bond over being outcasts. But it’s still implied the Creature murdered William in this version!!! And the EA has her find this out and it’s SUCH a dramatic and painful scene that is just 100% absent in official release

I assume because they wanted their version to end on an uplifting note? And Justine in this adaptation knows several other characters who would all learn of Creature’s misdeeds and hate him when the story is about him finally bonding with some of them. And so they kind of wrote themselves into a corner and decided to just erase the corner. From what I’ve gathered the company was really struggling financially and was rushing to release but it still sucks
