What’s going on?! - Elio Mei GIBBERISH - NOAHFINNCE These are two songs entirely about that but I also recommend listening to more noahfinnce songs as well and I personally also love Will Wood’s music. “Love, Me Normally” and “…well better than the alternative” by Will Wood hit so hard for me. And the entire normal album actually. Can you tell music is my special interest? :)

a ton of Gary Numan’s early output focused on communicating those feelings via metaphor & vague storytelling, mostly using imagery related to sci-fi and technology, even before he himself recognized that he was autistic. his hit Cars is a little tongue-in-cheek but the lyrics are ultimately about isolating yourself for emotional protection

there’s also the songs he did with Tubeway Army, Are Friends Electric and Down In The Park—the former is about not knowing how to maintain human relationships, the latter is about routine everyday survival in an environment that feels nightmarishly alien to you
