
Chances are your psychiatrist or psychologist can do an assessment and diagnose you. That would be enough for work accommodation and such. My psychiatrist did so for me for work. If you’re pursuing a diagnosis that will get you government support, like SSDI or such, however, you’d have to meet with a professional trained in the more complex testing and evaluation. Those are going to cost hundreds of dollars, if not a few thousand, as very few accept insurance if at all, from my experience.
