It means plan to be there at 11 but don’t expect people to be there right at 11. It’s also perfectly acceptable to arrive after 11 (up to a half hour past)

I have gone on 2 dates w a boy recently and both times he’s said “around 6, close to 9” etc and it stresses me out every time lol but I think maybe it’s just a way of not seeming too “demanding” yk like not “okay be there at 6 on the dot!” Idk? It like adds a tone of casualness even if we do both show up at 6 on the dot 😂

When they say around (at least to me) they won’t shut the doors on u if u get there at 11.05- like plan for 11 but if makeup or adhd gets in the way ur good, if they say BY 11, then the event part starts at 11, so get there early if u don’t wanna miss out (but ppl are usually chill)
