why does getting in the shower feel like such a commitment

If this is a genuine question: usually because it’s such a jarring sensory shift (without much reward for most, too.) I used to struggle a lot, and still do, because all of a sudden im naked and wet and cold and the lighting is different. And it’s loud. Over time I’ve reminded myself how refreshed I feel afterwards, made accommodations to make it physically easier, and started using products n such I enjoy more. I also find a 30min break afterwards helps me immensely and I look forward to that

Shower is my happy place, consistent environment, warmth. I think its sensory with that water pity-pattering on my skin. I shower for hours, I look forward to my extended spa days

Coming back to this. There’s also no shame in wet wipes once in a while if you can’t manage a shower but feel gross. Witch Hazel is also very good at deodorizing if your sweat’s particularly strong. Best of luck
