I can FEEL the phone addiction rotting my brain… but it’s so hard to break when literally important every part of life these days - school, friends, work - revolves around having constant access to a phone. ughhhhh

I set my limits to 8 pm from 8 am except for Saturdays, and my mom has the password, works like a charm

Get 2 phones, we are neurodivergent. I have one phone to find the other one and totally normalized it for going on 3 years now

i feel this :( and even just organizing myself into like “focus” modes requires the phone as well and feels daunting in itself

But have a friend make the password otherwise you’ll just ignore everything and it’ll be useless

It’s brutal. I spent a lot of time just pacing for a while but then I got used to it. Make sure to leave enough time to have fun at the end of the day so you don’t end up procrastinating sleep

My problem is I procrastinate bc I give myself free time (within my lil “breaks”) but I don’t do anything but scroll on my phone. And even then I forgo about the shortness of my break and end up wasting my day

Yeah a boring room, time restrictions and a manual timer that’s not your phone will fix that. And even if you stare at the wall for 25 minutes, at least you didn’t use your phone!! Win either way

I don’t believe in rules, I have tried dual system android and ios but having 2 iPhones one Icloud account is elite. It started after the second time I was mugged in a 2 month period. (More like kidnapping). But I had my main phone and a finance phone.

It was my birthday I was in Izmir Turkey. Closing down a bar a co-ed group ofb5 invited me back to their appartment. Drinking turned into drugs they wanted money for drugs then everything I had. (Including the shirt off my back). I don’t know what I smoked out of the crack pipe or pills I took but we were all surprised I was conscious. They want me to open my banking app. I still had one finance app on my going out phone 0 cards on my person. I told them yea I was actually mugged 2 months ago.

I tried to be disobedient giving my bank login and basically said F off when can I leave. They tried to verbally persuade me then they treated me with first a pistol, which 3 of them were concealed carrying. I expressed genuine surprise I didnt pick up on that. I had already accepted my next step was human trafficking so I told them to bot just point a gun at me and to use it if they were. I tried to sow discontent in the group and be “annoying”. They tried to threaten me with a

Double barrel shotgun they pulled from under the couch and I informed them they only increased my risk of dying by 6% percent. Then they just started to beat me up and I was like ah you got me. We ran out of vodka and only had dark liquor. I insulted them like at aleast give me a drink and they thought it would calm me down /knock me out. We went to buy alc at like 3am in Turkey which is an underground operation. They told me to sit on a step and not move. As soon as they went inside I

Wandered picking up cigarette butts until I came to a cross street and just tried to drop a 7min mile towards the Mediterranean without looking back. I interacted with some shitty unhelpful people after the events which had made me write off all Turkish people men at least as mid at best
