reddit would be so fun if the users and mods weren’t raging assholes. i’ve seen MANY popular subreddits die because they have too many pointless rules to the point no one can post anything ever. and GODDDDD FORBID you have an innocent question. either there’s a bi weekly post for all questions or some asshole responds making fun of you for not knowing

They are. In high school I asked Reddit if I should stay friends with one of my best friends, even though she continued to talk to the man that SA’d me (obviously I shouldn’t but I was young and dumb) and they told me it was my fault for the SA happening in the first place even though I didn’t give details.

they are smug joyless freaks. i used to post a lot there when it was more purely nerd and tech coded but it’s gone to hell especially since the 2010s

Probably a bit of both, leaning on the Reddit is full of assholes side… as a tech/anime enthusiast, Reddit is full of very helpful subreddits… but a lot of the mods are assholes
