I hate asking for help so much but I think I’m going to need to make a post to my local facebook group to see if anyone can help me how to drive. Idk how to phrase it tho. It feels embarrassing to admit I don’t have anyone to help me drive at 21

But at the same time if they pull up to my place I’m going to have to explain how my dad has the time to buy TWO ADDITIONAL CARS but can never find it to teach me how to drive and won’t let me try to drive them

The best way to learn is behind the wheel, like in an empty parking lot. But if you’re not ready for that yet, start watching your friends/family when they are in the drivers seat and notice how they turn, back up etc. You can even directly ask them how they do it and how they learned.

Try to see if you can find drivers Ed anywhere near you or just a learn to drive company or something like that!

car dependency sucks. it’s really shitty that everyone feels forced to drive just to be a functioning member of society in most of north america. it’s not freedom if it’s contingent on you owning an expensive and deadly vehicle

Not being ready isn’t the problem I just need literally anyone to have the time to come help me (most of my family lives out of state & friends that can drive are super busy) Observing only does so much for me I when I need the hands on experience of actually driving a vehicle 😭 If I can find someone to at least do that then I can start worrying about studying a driver’s manual
