I finished my second tube of toothpaste ever and I know that’s not at all an achievement at 20 but I have always hated brushing my teeth and it wasn’t until I started college that i realized it was partly because I’m allergic to mint

I’ve switched to kids toothpaste and am trying to build a routine up, so far I have managed to keep up with I always brush when I take a shower and if i spontaneously remember I haven’t brushed my teeth, then I go ahead and stop what I’m doing to go brush them

I haven’t been to the dentist since I was 6 because I had a meltdown the last time I went and my mom never thought it was worth the effort to take me back so this is a greatly appreciated tip

The dentist is not bad at all, if you go just be honest about ur anxiety and that you haven't been in decades, they def see patients like that all the time and will try to make your experience good

I know logically I should go soon, but I don’t have health insurance right now and when I did have health insurance as an adult, it was still under my moms and she didn’t have it covering dental because she thought it was a waste on me. It’s be fifteen years since the last time I went

I am honestly terrified of the idea of the dentist because I just remember the last time and the fear that little autistic me had with everything being really bright and really loud and being completely alone with a stranger because my mom didn’t come to the back with me

Crest kids is also good. I haven’t bought toothpaste in a while, but I usually get it from Safeway/Tom Thumb/Albertson’s
