hey all just a reminder w all the dental hygiene posts going around that toothpaste and brush type can make a huge difference! ik it can feel embarrassing not being a “grownup” w mint toothpaste, but the most important thing is finding what works for you!

I love hello’s flavored fluoride toothpaste, but bc the habit is hard and I’m not doing it correctly, I have a lot of damage to my teeth that’s costing a ton… ts sucks and idk how to improve

I exclusively use mint toothpaste because the other kinds feel weird on my mouth, so also don’t feel bad if mint is the only one you like to use ♥️

I’m still struggling with brushing my teeth unless I go outside, but I was told that I was brushing too hard before. My dad gave me his old electric toothbrush and even though getting over the weird feeling it did help actually cleaning my teeth instead of feeling like I just want it over

You’ll have to ask your dentist to prescribe it, but Colgate has a fruit flavored toothpaste that I use and helped me a lot with gingivitis and general damage/health. I’m allergic to anything mint, spearmint, peppermint, etc, so this is my lifeline lol

I’ve never used mint toothpaste and never will or could. I use toms of Maine strawberry

I use Hismile floride+ they have tons of flavors and are always running decent sales the only downside is that they are pretty pricey

Mint Toothpaste burns my mouth but they don’t offer sensitive relief in bubblegum:(

I actually have the opposite problem. I’m so hyper focused on my teeth health and can’t stand the taste of my actual mouth. Mint is the only thing I can handle. Legit my schedule for my dental hygiene is crazy strict but I still get cavities. Don’t ask me how, man

I use kids “sparkle fun” toothpaste because the taste doesn’t bother me. The important part is that I’m trying! :)

Absolutely love Hismile’s flavors, they are all super good and don’t have that toothpaste flavor to them

I use theodent, it’s kinda chocolate flavored! Plus it actually works on my teeth, unlike a lot of the other non-mint toothpastes I’ve tried

i love my hard bristled toothbrush and will genuinely not brush with a soft bristled one because i'll obsess over it forever and never feel clean. i definitely recommend looking into hard/med/soft bristles!!

Also learning I’m allergic to mint definitely helped me get back into the habit of brushing because I could find toothpaste that didn’t cause me immense pain

I’ve been prescribed toothpaste before — it just had an extra high level of flouride

I found out on my Italy trip that jasmine pollen fucks me UP dawg I’ve never had worse allergies in my life, and walking by a bush of it sent me into an instant sneezing fit
