If you can, try and get training wheels. Assuming they make them at the right size, they can probably help you get a feel for the balance. Then once you feel confident, try and find a flat field of soft grass and just start trying to ride. It’s ok if you fall, that’s why I said to find soft grass. You just want to keep trying until you can ride straight. When you feel comfortable to move on, you can do so.
You may be overthinking it, if you’re trying to do it how it seems like you should on paper. it’s more subconscious adjustment of the handlebars as you move than actually leaning your body. just keep practicing, without any particular plan each time you start. If going straight is hard, maybe try starting by going in a wide circle too. the more open space you have to learn in, the better. Good luck!
If you’ve ever played an Action RPG, it’s kinda like that. The training wheels are the tutorial, there to give you a feel of how the controls work without any real threat of failure. Then the riding is like that first boss, where you throw yourself at the boss over and over again, learning its patterns. You may not be perfect, you may only understand the basics, but you will eventually beat that boss and the whole world will open up to you.
