I feel guilty and relieved she’s gone, and also annoyed that it took leadership seeing it with their own eyes to listen to me

The parents are the ones so in the wrong. I totally understand needing a break from a high needs neurodivergent kid but to not ensure they’re given proper care on this break and endangering other people’s children is just selfish. That poor girl clearly doesn’t comprehend what she’s doing as well as the other kiddos. This is a terrible thing to go to work to and unfair to the other children.

Our night was so easy for the first time all week, we took our shower, played a game before bed, talked about what we were going to dream about, and then settled in for lights out, had no issues of talking after bedtime and everyone went to sleep quickly and quietly

I’m so glad it’s improved over there for you and I hope that girl can get into a camp that can accommodate her needs. The best option isn’t always the one that makes everyone happy in the moment.
