So I found a cavity. I’ve never had one before. I had a full blown panic attack. I CANNOT handle the drill. They had to put me under to do my wisdom teeth. Even just thinking about it my cortisol shoots through the roof and I feel like shit. Any advice?

Im planning on wearing double headphones and playing music and probably taking a Ativan or even Xanax with how bad I panick. They’ll have to straight up strap me down. Idk maybe I can watch YouTube if I can airplay to the tv.

I’m a vet tech student and I actually have my dental radiograph exam in 15 minutes. Ever since going through the unit I’ve been paranoid about cavities but still have such a hard time with hygiene. I end up eating the toothpaste (not on purpose) and it makes my stomach hurt. Even mouthwash. I think it’s having it as the only taste left in my mouth. So I only brush in the mornings and floss.

I hate the dentist too. Loud music helps a lot. I also recommend something to squeeze really really hard
