I would wager you're feeling ocd about what counts as proper sleep or not, basically grading yourself on it...ever since I started completely ignoring the hours I slept etc i've felt much better

it depends on how your ocd impacts your life. it manifests in different ways for a lot of people. what makes you think it’s your ocd? xx

Maybe not ocd. Likely depression. Either way a good ssri can help

for me, my ocd impacts my sleep through obsessive thoughts of whatever’s caught my interest. i haven’t found a perfect fix for it but i start by at least being open to the idea of sleeping. i don’t try to force myself to sleep, just lay down with my eyes closed. then i relax my entire body and do a check of each part of it to make sure each limb is relaxed. then i count to 50. if i can make it to 50 and still obsess, i start over. and then i repeat this until i fall asleep lol

and it sucks and i have adhd so my thoughts don’t often want to stay in one spot. but i just try to physically relax my body as much as i can and trust that my brains instincts will activate whatever sleep chemicals happen when your body relaxes lmao
