I don’t think hyper focus is the right word for scrolling on reels. That implies your brain is locked in a cognitive task, brain rotting literally makes hyper focusing harder. I’m saying this as someone with this problem really bad. I have to keep insta uninstalled bc out of all the social medias, is sucks me in BAD. But calling brain rotting “hyperfocus” is completely inaccurate.

I was using the term loosely for comedic effect but you’re 100% correct. Scrolling is basically just your brain going “I 💜 family guy clips with subway surfer playing above them” vs doing a task haha
