I’m trying to find the right adhd meds but both types of stimulants give me bad side effects. I’m starting to lose hope. Anyone have advice/perspective?

Every stimulant I’ve tried gives me panic attacks, including caffeine if it’s in a dose as high as a cup of coffee. Non-stimulant medications can be pretty good too. I’m on atomoxetine, which works well for me, and I know someone who has good results with bupropion. Bupropion is mainly used for depression as far as I know, but I think it’s also supposed to help with ADHD symptoms. I also tried guanfacine, but I had anger issues and I felt sleepy all the time, and it didn’t even help with ADHD.

I’m on Wellbutrin for ADHD. I’m trying to switch to Straterra (atomoxetine). Wellbutrin didn’t/isn’t working for me lol

I hope Strattera works well for you!! When I first started it I was a little constipated, but staying hydrated helped with that.

Stimulants so far have given me stomach issues and dry mouth 😭 but imma keep trying cause I’m too lost in the mental sauce for this shit 😂

I hope so too. Wellbutrin makes me shaky and have an internal buzzing sensation. It doesn’t go away 🤷🏽‍♀️
