I fucking hate group projects. I understand why they exist but damn no they’re bad. I’m a teacher now and the ONLY group projects I will ever assign are ones completed in class only. Collaboration is important, but you cannot forcibly facilitate it outside of a classroom

it gets to a point where you need to email the professor about your partner not cooperating

The hardest part of a group project is just trying to get everyone to fucking respond

update: i grew a backbone and said that i’m not gonna wait again, i shared my work so far so he can finish the next part and we can talk tomorrow. he replied like 90mins after our original meeting time with a lame excuse 😭

Reach out to your professor about the situation. Take pictures of activity on the document (if it’s a Google doc it’ll show up with users and their actions)

ESPECIALLY IN COLLEGE! Like my partner is a student and works full time. They leave the house at 6:30 AM and don’t get back until around 7 PM. They are EXHAUSTED by the end of the day. Their only day off every week is Sunday and they use that to clean, meal prep, and spend time with me and friends. College students are some of the busiest people and a lot of us are juggling how to be adults for the first time

Word documents can do that too! If it’s linked to your oneDrive you can go to the folder and check version history. I had to do that for a presentation last semester to find one partner dint even open it once
