I fear this is not an isolated neurotypical vs neurodivergent thing as neurodivergence covers a lot of different disorders and all people have different styles and ways we were raised to act in those situations

This is more about what the person is saying being meaningless. There is no point—no information that is useful is being shared, and it is only to fill the silence. I find this to be because neurotypicals are more afraid of awkwardness than some of us.

Yeah but at least y’all share cool shit. It’s when the info shared is useless and uninteresting and just used to fill empty space that it gets annoying. Like yes I’d love to know more about owl’s talons.
