I feel like I’m in the minority when I see fellow neurodivergent folks say social climbers are pathetic. Being low on the hierarchy and open season for everyone is a horrible spot I never want to be in again. I aggressively do so just to keep myself safe

Depends what you mean by social climbing. I would argue that insulting and putting other people down to benefit yourself is always pathetic and unfortunately that’s a common way to social climb. There’s nothing wrong with associating with more popular people if you aren’t bullying others, though

I can’t find the original TikTok video right now, but it was some guy saying that he felt like social climbers as a neurodivergent guy and recounting how within 30 seconds of meeting someone, this other person peppered him with questions to get information about bro

I don’t have TikTok or know what video you are talking about but from that description I would agree that the guy’s video was not particularly nice or necessary
