What’s the fine line between the neurodivergent way of perceiving/processing in general & synesthesia? cause of u ask me those “what color does this word smell like” Qs, I have an answer, but I think the synesthete experience is a lot greater & deeper

You could argue that having synesthesia is a form of being neurodivergent

Neurodivergent is an umbrella term for any neurological or developmental divergence from the “norm”. Not just autism and adhd

I agree!! Sorry the word count made it tricky to get my point across but i meant like being neurodivergent can make certain things have a different sensory experience, allowing u to “smell words” or “see a color for a number” if u tried but synesthesia is more common and shows up in greater ways and is a much deeper experience of this so what exactly is the line that draws between just being a form of neurospicy to it being definitive synesthesia!!
