sounds like somebody got assigned the “bootstraps” / individualist toxic masculinity strain of autism, huh in some ways I do Get It. I’d be a hypocrite not to acknowledge that when I’m currently losing the battle against my own self-isolation reflex. but the “every man for himself” stuff is an aberration, it stands in opposition to any and all positive aspects of human nature. let’s not kid ourselves into framing that as anything better than a crummy defense mechanism

obviously no. but given that a very significant percentage of neurodivergent people are autistic, when you do post to a group for neurodivergent people, you ought to be prepared to clarify “I was being sarcastic” without treating others like they’re stupid for not being able to tell
