Does anyone here have experience with vyvanse? I started it yesterday with 30 mg (3 10 mg pills) and felt like my brain and hands weren’t cooperating. I took 20 today and feel perfectly fine, but the internet says 30 is the starting dose. Is 20 too low?

I’m mostly confused bc I didn’t notice any significant differences on mid range doses of Adderall or Concerta, which is why a low dose of vyvanse being overwhelming seems strange. I am also a small adult though, so maybe that’s part of it?

I think you should give it a week or so on 30 start with it, a good rule of thumb for medication IMO is to always take it for a little bit (assuming it’s safe) so that the proper amount builds up! I take vyvanse and it works super well for me. My only problem is it doesn’t last long enough for me, so i’d have to take a booster but I always forget

I was on Vyvanse for a couple months, up at around 70mg. It didn’t do anything for me at all. But your starting dosage is going to depend on your body’s reaction to it and you should only take other’s experiences with a large grain of salt. Everyone is different. I’d avoid anything like caffeine or such while first trying it to gauge how the medication is affecting you, if that’s a factor. If you’re continuously noticing issue, and you feel it’s not safe, discontinue and speak to your provider.

i think body size can play a role in how certain strengths of meds can affect you yeah. vyvanse dosing goes as low as 10mg but your dr prescribes the strength they believe will help while also being what your body can handle
