it's like if i have a tummyache, i think it's something serious and it just makes it worse when it's really nothing

But if it was a placebo affect then that wouldn’t work because the point of the placebo affect is the results are null once it is exposed I thought. Maybe your tummyache did get worse or the acknowledgment of the pain exacerbated it? Idk I’m not doubting you just curious
