Ok I’m curious… so obviously we’re all ND here, but how many of us are sugar addicts (me lol)? And then the (more?) interesting thing… did you spent time in the hospital as a baby in the NICU?

i used to be a sugar junkie but after my first year at college, it went down a lot. it might be unrelated though, cause i've heard testosterone makes you crave less sugar and i thing my t levels went up this past year

This and also it was heavily restricted by my parents growing up so like, I had to have my phase of burning through sugar to counterbalance that and now I’m like. I enjoy it I want it on a regular basis but it’s easy enough to be chill about

oh but I was born 10 days late and did have an underdeveloped hip because of my EDS, they just sent me home in a knee brace at the normal time though.

Actually now that I think about it I was never in the nicu but I didn’t cry when I was born and they had to vacuum my lungs out. Not terribly uncommon and not as like, long or intense, but idk. Also was 2 weeks early and had jaundice but that’s also common enough? I was just sent home with a UV light blanket

I think it depends on how developed your lungs are when you are born. I had jaundice and was born about 6 weeks early so I was in the NICU for a week (and got the UV light blanked too). If you didn’t cry—I think they call that being a ‘blue baby’—which is still an intense experience.

-not buying candy or sweet treats, when I crave sweets now I usually just go for fruit or remember it's a good time to take my vitamin gummies -swapping my sugary coffees for celsius (the powder mix is cheaper than the canned) it sucks at first but eventually you start to crave it less. I think I'm at a pretty normal amount of sugar cravings now, and recently I had my first experience of "oh I can't eat that, that's too sweet"
