No no, I understand I’m not trying to come off as rude. All im saying is understand and accept that “I can only gain weight from eating more calories than my body needs” Calculate your maintenance calories. Minus maybe 200 from it, obviously most people should eat around 1,000-1,700 calories a day for most AVERAGE healthy body weights 120-180lbs Once you accept this, the stress and survival instincts that your body will let go from the paranoia feeling of gaining weight will go away.
Also understand it’s weekly calories. If one day you tend to eat a bit more than you wanted to it’s fine, the next day drink more water, Go on a walk, and try to eat more Vegetables and healthy protein. Fill up on fiber heavy foods cause they will fill you up, also try to drink a glass of water before every meal
Im trying to help. I’ve helped many people including me. I’m someone who has been overweight all of my life and was very “healthy” at the same time. I had a 36BMI and had a resting heart rate of 50, VO2 max of 63, 1 mile in 6 minutes. I understand there’s so many things that appear online but sometimes, and unfortunately it’s very simple but VERY difficult to lose or maintain your weight
My BMI is a 16. Our relationship with food appears to be very different. I don’t think cutting out food and limiting my existence around it is very healthy. I have never weighed more than 120lbs at 5’8. I’m currently less than 120. I think your advise may not be helpful in my situation
Okay I understand. To be blunt, I personally believe most people who are afraid of gaining weight fear losing themselves or looking “bigger” sorry to hear about that. I was trying to help but I wouldn’t know how that mental mindset is. All I would say might just come off as ignorant. The last advice I can give is just following maintenance calories. But I’m not an expert or anything’s I’ve just personally have done it and as well as my friends
